There are currently seven full-time qualified teachers on staff plus community support staff who assist the teachers in the classrooms. The school is very well-run by the Principal and her team of teaching and ancillary staff whose aim is to provide a high-quality education to all students, in English as well as the community’s local languages.It’s a small community in the Kimberly region, with about 300 people, located on the banks of the Fitzroy River with Broome the closest airport town being about 5 hours’ drive away. Derby and Fitzroy Crossing are both 2.5 hours’ drive away.The community has a well-equipped store with EFTPOS & ATM facilities, with fuel and postal services available. There is a health clinic, radio station, Health & Aged Care Kitchen and plenty of sporting, cultural and social events going on.
