Established 30 years ago, the school has pristine grounds, lush with greenery and a friendly community of people.This is a flagship school for the CSIRO 2-way learning programme.There are four teachers on staff. The Principal plus three teachers.The community is welcoming to all newcomers. The community receives mail twice a week and is home to a general store, community office, oval, and a modern health clinic, with a nurse stationed 24 hours, and doctors or specialists visiting regularly.Teachers can go with or without a car (must be a 4WD).There is a Wellbeing Break at the end of Week 5 in each term. The school pays for 2 nights’ accommodation including food in Newman. Teachers can stock up on fresh fruit and veges here then return to community for the last 5 weeks of term.
