There are 11 teachers on staff making this a large remote school.The school has a high staff retention rate with only reflecting a well-managed and happy school environment.There is a school band which has received Triple J airplay and is an important part of the school culture.LocationThe school is located in a very remote community on the western coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria in South East Arnhem Land. The population is about 950 people.There is a good shop with subsidised fresh fruit, vegetables and meat.Teachers often drive to Katherine (5 hours) and Mataranka (4 hours) on Fridays for the weekend.Community amenities include a health clinic, school, store, fuel, airstrip, boat jetty and Police Station.
